I made reservations for the patio. We got one of the high tables instead of shorter tables. I didn't see on the reservation how to request a short table. Overall, the food was good. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals. At some point, they even gave us a free starter of Beef Bao. It was kind of them to do that. The staff was to the point. The design of the place is what makes it special. I really enjoyed the vibe and want to come back soon. The only slight disappointment was desserts. They are only ok. Nothing special. Focus on the food and drinks and skip dessert.

I met a friend here for lunch. The inside is beautiful and has an upscale appeal. The staff was super friendly and Louisa (I may have misspelled) took great care of us. When we first got there, the lunch rush hadn't started yet. As the restaurant filled up, the noise level drastically increased. Since I am pretty soft-spoken, this added some difficulty to hold a conversation. However, I could hear my friend who speaks at a normal volume just fine. We had the Ling's Soup Dumplings, which is their specialty. They are very delicious and a perfect ratio of wrapper to filling. Highly recommend. I also had the General Tso's Chicken (I know, I'm basic.) It was very good with the right amount of spice. The sauce was sticky which I like. Since we came for lunch, our meal came with the choice of soup (egg drop vs hot & sour) and steamed rice. For the price, the meal was a great value. For dessert, we had a strawberry sorbet. It was molded to look like a hedgehog and it was absolutely adorable! I did not want to eat it! The presentation was off the charts. It was flavorful without being overpowering. It was pretty frozen so it was hard to "get into it," most likely to help keep the adorable hedgehog shape. I can't believe I'm saying this, but a surprising gem at this restaurant is the bathroom! The toilets are next level. Just take my word for it and check them out! All in all, this is an excellent restaurant with a great atmosphere, service, and food! I would enjoy trying their dinner and brunch menu in the future!

Excellent Asian Cuisine. They offer a wide variety of authentic dishes. The sauces are amazing. The service was very good. Are waitress was. Attentive. I wish they offered more in the way of cocktail selections. This would be my only negative. Otherwise, excellent dining experience. The Ambiance is refined yet casual.

I have dined at Qi downtown and loved it. It was a pleasant surprise to discover that Ling Wu is a part of the same restaurant group. I was very impressed when I entered and glimpsed the extensive and impressive wine collection, but what left me in total awe was discovering that each bathroom contains the high end Toto Neorest bidet! Having a bidet in a restaurant bathroom is not something I have ever seen and it was a very pleasant surprise. Knowing how much money was invested in the wine and the bathroom I knew that the service and food would also be on point and I was not disappointed. For drinks, Victoria's Secret and the Reign of Fire are must haves! After those two, there was no need for any other drinks or dessert. We started with the crab meat and chicken basil dumplings as well as the shrimp har gow and hot and sour soup. All were delicious, but if you are adverse to heat, I would use caution when trying the hot and sour soup. If you are feeling a little under the weather, it will definitely clear you right up. We finished with the curry ox tails and pecan shrimp and of course, both meals were divine. Our waiter Bianca was great and we appreciated that she took the time to patiently answer all of our questions.

I loved this restaurant as the food was amazing!! They offer both indoor and patio options. The atmosphere is fun with the dim lighting featuring lanterns. We did not have the most helpful server when it came to suggestions but the food came out quick and tasted delicious!

A little ways outside of Austin, you'll find the newest addition to the Ling Qi Wu family. Much like the other acclaimed Ling Qi Wu restaurants (Lin Asian Bar, Qi, and Ling), Ling Wu marries western and traditional Chinese cuisine using healthy ingredients. You'll find a variety of dim sum items and specialty entrees, such as my favorite: the Pecan Shrimp-- crispy shrimp mixed with a creamy aioli, diced apples and sugared pecans. I enjoy this location specifically, as not only will you find favorite cult classics such as the Xiao Long Bao (Ling's Soup Dumplings), but you'll find private parking, extra dining space in the restaurant, better lighting, and overall a more comfortable atmosphere.

Chef Ling Qi Wu was once the executive chef at Wu Chow. Then she opened five restaurants of her own. I will recommend Ling Wu for three reasons: I drink martinis often enough and when I do I ask for Hendricks gin. The "on the rocks Hendricks martini with olives" was the best I have ever had. I developed a fondness for walnut shrimp in Manhattan and Berkeley, but Pecan Shrimp? Oh, hell yes! Enormous, ultra fresh, perfect chew-texture shrimp, beautifully plated and scrumptious, these shrimp aren't dripping in sauce. You won't need rice. They're simply perfect. A wow in every bite. I didn't like that we were asked to pay extra for white rice. The atmosphere was twinkly, cozy and comfortable, though a tad loud but the best thing?!? The Toto Japanese toilets. There was a line to experience them. I will go back asap.
